Welcome to Francisco Records your market place for reggae music on the net since March 1999. Our MissionWe aim to provide the largest, most comprehensive selection of original reggae vinyl possible. Company ProfileFrancisco Records is Gary and Christina Francis. We have been selling records by mail order for several years and have many satisfied customers world-wide. Terms of Trade In order to avoid a negative experience we advise that you read this pre-amble carefully before attempting to place an order. A significant proportion of the emailed orders we receive are from senders who do not identify themselves and do not indicate their place of residence. Most of these orders request confirmation of availability; along with total cost, including shipping. However since they have not identified their whereabouts it is not possible to prepare an invoice incorporating shipping cost. Also experience has taught us that individuals who are at pains to obscure their identities are more likely to let you down in the end. Accordingly we tend to view these approaches as having a high potential for time wasting and, more often than not, consign them to the shredder. A significant proportion of “customers”, at least 10 percent of those invoiced, fail to pay. Experience shows that, after a suitable interval, they are back pretending it never happened and, given the opportunity, will usually do the same again. In our view time is a most precious commodity and we are reluctant to have ours wasted by this sort of anti-social behaviour. Accordingly we maintain meticulous records of people who have let us down in the past (you know who you are) and make strenuous efforts to stop them doing it again. There has been a rash, lately, of persons requesting refunds because their package did not arrive. We have therefore instituted a procedure whereby all UK packages require a signature on delivery. Overseas packages are a bit more problematic, because of the cost involved. In relation to packages mailed overseas we take the view that overseas customers, who claim for non delivery of packages that are not signed for, will thenceforth only be sent packages via a signed for service. We do not mean by this to cast aspersions on the honesty of these individuals. However if packages did not arrive in the past there is a likelihood that they might not in the future. In a perfect world I'd be 'sitting here a thousand miles from nowhere in my one room country little shack', waiting for your orders so that we could give you an instant turnaround. In the real world however we conduct this operation on a part time basis and our stock is too extensive to be accommodated at home. Having said that we endeavor to operate a seven day cycle. We go to our storage facility one day a week to; replenish stock with new purchases, sort out that week's orders and retrieve paid invoices for shipping. This means in practice that, if you conduct your side of the transaction electronically, it usually takes on average 14 days from the receipt of your order to the dispatch of your goods. If you decide to change your order after you have received an invoice (not recommended) the whole cycle repeats itself. Be careful out there and take what you receive from Blood and Fire with a liberal pinch of salt. To paraphrase an old Jamaican proverb: The person who relieves themselves by the side of the road seldom remembers it, whilst the person who steps in it seldom forgets. These thoughts may be developed further in my witter for the benefit of those of us who have nothing better to do. ORDERING Place your order by Email or fax quoting; label, catalogue number, artiste,
